As part of the Leith Festival we combined our biggest love (live music) with a seagull’s biggest love (the humble chippy) to create the ultimate ‘Batter of the Bands’. Held in a Leith photography studio as part of the Leith Festival, all the proceeds went to Fairbridge charity.

To promote the event we documented the ceremonial deep-frying of a microphone, in the eponymous ‘battered mic’ film. This was made for the total sum of £10 (covering flowers for the chip shop owner)

The 150 strong crowd gobbled up the shindig, raising over £400 for Fairbridge. The winners, Schnapps, won a feast of prizes, including the free recording and publishing of their album courtesy of Rage music.
