BRIGHTSIDE – THE GIRL WITH THE RED LIPSTICK
Brightside are barely a year old, but have already gathered a solid fan base, released a self produced album and provide us with a post Valentines-gone-wrong track; ‘The Girl With the Red Lipstick On’. The girl in question clearly didn’t receive her bunch of roses this year. The 3 minute ditty is most palatable, with rippling bass, pop harmonies and an almost sea shanty slant.
The Edinburgh quintet are celebrating their first birthday, whilst simultaneously saying a fond farewell to their Keyboardist, at Whistlebinkies on Thursday 18th February. You can find more details on facebook and Myspace .
