Be a Part of Plum’s New Album

We’re super excited to be working with Plum on doing some cool stuff to promote her next album. 

To fund the album distribution and and promotion, Plum’s set up a crowdfunding page on Sponsume, where people (like you!) can contribute as little as £1 to make it happen. She’s also put some great packages together for bigger spenders, so well worth an investment.

We’ve got a whole heap of ideas we’re itching to make happen and are looking at doing a World First, so watch this space.

The Leith Agency has worked with Plum previously on a graffiti animation about the dangers of knife crime, and we’re convinced she’s got a bright future ahead.

Plum - Live at the Leith Barge Recording

Here’s @Plumtunes playing live at the Leith Barge on Saturday, launching her brilliant new album Different Skin. (Scroll forward about 4mins in and the sound quality gets much better)

Plum was also joined by Ben Phaze later on in the set, which is well worth holding out for. The night was a resounding success, with some excellent warmup slots from other Benbecula regulars and a few homemade scones and plum jam. Plus no one went overboard into the Water of Leith which was a bonus.

The recording and live streaming was all a bit experimental for us at Leith Records, so we apologise for any technical sketchiness. Hopefully we’ll be seeing more like this on the Leith Barge sometime soon though so if you know anyone who’d like to play here, please get in touch.

Don’t forget that Plum’s full album is now available on Benbecula Records. We’ll be posting high quality cuts once we get round to editing too.

With the miracles of modern technology, we’re streaming the album launch live from the Mary de Guise barge in Leith at 8pm tonight.

It’s all a bit experimental, so we can’t guarantee it’ll work all of the time (or even work at all!), but it should give you a flavour of the live event.

We’ll also be recording everything too, so you’ll get a chance to catch the best bits on Vimeo and YouTube.

It’ll be better than X-Factor. Promise.

With @plumtunes launching her new album on the Mary de Guise barge in Leith tomorrow, it seems only right to play a few of her excellent videos in the build up.

Brilliant piece of mellow acoustic guitar, vocals and loop-station genius by Plum. Sit back and let the worries of the world wash away.

Her new album, Different Skin, is set to come out Benbecula Records on 19th October. The official launch is on the Marie de Guise barge, right here in Leith. Well worth a listen, and seeing live if you get the chance.
